October 13th - Catching flight to Turkey with a stopover in Frankfurt, Germany
October 14th - Arrival at Istanbul, late afternoon
October 15th - In Istanbul, Jennifer will visit Topkapi Palace Museum, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Bazalica Cistern, and a Bosphorus Tour
October 16th - In Istanbul, a visit to Dolmabahce Palace and Kuzguncuk (an Armenian church)
October 17th - Early morning flight to Izmir, then a visit to Ephesus and visit the Virgin Mary's House before catching a late afternoon flight to Antalya
October 18th - In Antalya, Jennifer will enjoy a leisurely day by visiting the historical site of Antalya
October 19th - Jennifer will visit the Religious Garden in Belek and the Aspendos Amphitheater then an afternoon drive to Konya
October 20th - While in Konya, Jennifer will visit the tomb of Rumi as well as take a city tour before driving on to Nigde where she'll visit the Guvercinlik Church
October 21st - Jennifer visit Cappadocia (in Nevsehir) and then drive on to Kayseri for dinner. She'll take an evening flight back to Istanbul
October 22nd - Jennifer will breakfast at the Gulluoglu Baklava factory, visit the Zaman newspaper and top off the day with shopping at the Grand Bazaar
October 23rd - Jennifer has the opportunity to visit the Eyup Mosque as well as seeing the Kariye and Karkoy Jewish museums, then a dinner at Cemberlitas
October 24th - Jennifer boards her early morning flight back home
We are at the beginning of a book club at the moment, which will hopefully come together for its first meeting by the end of March or early April. This blog is to help start the conversation between those individuals who expressed an initial interest in getting together to discuss books, as well as be a forum for continuing dialogues about books between meetings.
